Experiencing an acquired craving for knowledge

The brain is constantly working just as the computer inside your phone or laptop. It never shuts off. The idea behind the title of my post derives from me completing a book and then craving more information on the next topic or an idea the last book placed in my head. According to one study the average reader only takes 20% from content they read.. Same goes for movies, or shows, about 20% of the authors, producers, or playwriter's info sticks to the viewer or reader etcc.. This tells me that I need to get 5 books my belt in a sense to get each of the 20% that stuck with me to equal 100% right? Well, maybe if the 5 books were all on the same topic but when you're craving knowledge, it doesn't matter where it comes from. I've been reading about the subconscious mind lately and in contrast with the 20% of a book sticking with me,  I've learned that if you read the book for a 2nd and 3rd time then the likelihood of more of the message sticking increases. Not only with the message or idea stick with you better, but if you want to create an action behind a thought that's has grown from a book, the rereading will plug the message into your subconscious mind. There, is where the memory bank is unlimited.. The conscious mind has only a temporary memory. Basically, this means you can focus on one thing you want to do today, complete it, but then the subconscious mind will reset your plans tomorrow if this new focus is out of the norm.

Over the past few months, I didn't realize I was reprogramming my suncosubcons mind to promote and encourage my own personal growth. The more I learned about any new topic became exciting to me. I couldn't wait to share it with the world and friends. The dialogue of conversations changed with peers and elders and I had plenty of content to bounce off of the experienced and doer's of the world. This became inspiring to me. I turned to books when normally I would turn to video games or close friends that would talk about problems more than opportunities. We all have friends like that. It's good to vent and lend an ear at times but some days you just don't want to hear the same depressing stories. In order to gain knowledge or learn new things you have to go outside of your normal circle and day to day family members. Chances are y'all have already discussed the same info or touched on the same topic over the years. Instead, go to your aquaintances for new information. It will be way more beneficial especially if youryo looking for new ideas or even employment.
For the 20% of this post I would recommend rereading or going over something you've learned or are trying to implement in your life. This will give you a better chance of getting the information and focus to stick to your subconscious mind.
